Believe it or not, this is the first book of the Romancing America series that I have read (and I've already purchased many more!). The three books here were excellent; I found it difficult not to continue reading them all way through at a very few sittings. The characters are excellently portrayed, and the writing the absolute finest. (Only one minor problem: Are we females really that difficult?!) The first book was the best of the three, to me--I'll never forget Trace, and only wish that his and Sydney Rose's story would have continued a bit longer for us readers. I hadn't read a romance since my Grace Livingston Hill days, and was thoroughly surprised at how much I loved this book. Both the reading pleasure and the spiritual benefit were great, and I will be surprised if I don't read all of the Romancing America series.
