This is an inspirational and life changing story!
I would recommend this book for anyone who is struggling to remain faithful to God through trials and years of adversity. This true story about a Hindu child illustrates how responding to difficult situations with praise and trust brings one to greater faith and joy in the Lord.

outstanding testimony
This is one of my all time favorite biographies. It displays the power, glory and love of God in an incredible way. Amy Carmichael writes somewhat poetically rather than straight forward, but the story is told very powerfully.

A touching book by a woman of God.
The book is written in an almost poetic style, partly after the fashion of people in India. It tells the story of a girl who learns a very little about God, and clings to Him in faith for many years in the face of adversity and without the fellowship of other believers.
A great gift item, especially to those in need of encouragement.

What an incredible story of the awesome power of God working in an Indian womans's life despite adverse and seemingly impossible circumstances! Our God reigns! Nothing, absolutely nothing, is impossible to Him!! I read a borrowed copy from a friend and now must own a copy for myself... to read again!
