This three-in-one volume contains favorite titles by Donald Miller including: Blue Like Jazz, Searching for God Knows What, and Through Painted Deserts.
Blue Like Jazz - Can you love a God who doesn't make sense? Like Anne Lamott's Traveling Mercies, Miller's memoir-like collection of essays wrestles with the paradoxes of the Christian faith, describing his journey back to a culturally relevant, infinitely gracious Savior. A mind-changing perspective for those who believe that organized religion doesn't meet their spiritual needs.
Searching for God Knows What - Donald Miller takes a close look at the numerous philosophies we desperately cling to in hopes that they will heal our brokenness. Miller reminds us that the fix we are searching for is not merely a philosophy, a theology or a set of ideas. Rather, the fix is the gospel, which calls us not only to embrace Jesus, but to set out with him on a journey of redemption.
Through Painted Deserts - A road-trip memoir about three months spent crossing the country in a Volkswagen camping van, wondering out loud if there is more to life than 9 to 5 jobs, than the ruts the entire world, seems to be stuck in. Follow Don and Paul as they dive headlong into the deepest of human questions and find answers outside words-answers that have to be experienced to be believed.
