The premise of His Mighty Warrior, by Sheri Rose Shepherd, is God choosing to write to his faithful servant, whom he calls “Son”, and giving him instructions for setting goals in life, following Christian practices, and serving Him in noble ways. The child servant then writes a letter back to God, promising to fulfill the new missions, requirements or commandments. The author then inserts a quoted passage of Scripture to show the biblical reference for the principle the Son is being asked to follow.
