Richard K. Harris, a former tour guide, has written or cowritten twenty-nine other guidebooks, including Hidden Southwest, Getaway Guide to the American Southwest, and National Trust Guide: Santa Fe. He has also served as contributing editor on guides to New Mexico and other ports of call. He is past president of PEN New Mexico and president of the New Mexico Book Association. Richard writes and lives in Santa Fe.
