Product Description

While not a professional theologian, Lewis has been called one of the most thoroughly converted men who ever lived. Christian assumptions permeate all of his fiction and nonfiction. Vaus gently, but probingly, draws out what Lewis believed on the great doctrines of the faith. 280 pages, softcover. InterVarsity.

Author/Artist Review

Author: Will Vaus
Located in: Ireland
Submitted: April 06, 2004

Tell us a little about yourself.  I am a life-long reader of C. S. Lewis and Mere Christian for over a quarter of a century. I have been the husband of one wife, going on two decades. And the father of three active boys, all of whom would love to live in Narnia. To learn more you may visit my web site at www.willvaus.com .

What was your motivation behind this project?  My first motivation behind this project was simply to have fun writing about Lewis and theology. My second motive was to write the kind of book I would like to read, and that would help others who want to learn more about Lewis's theological thinking.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  I hope that all who read this book will be encouraged to read Lewis and also to draw closer to the God of whom Lewis wrote so well.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  C. S. Lewis Other favorite authors: Sheldon Vanauken, Tim Hansel, Michael Green.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  Mere Theology is not just for Lewis fans, or for those who think they are interested in theology. It is a book for anyone interested in growing in a relationship with God.
