Author Info

AMBER ROBINSON is a successful speaker and writer, seeking to bridge the gap between the needs for justice and the busy women balancing family, work, and service. Amber lives with her family in Indiana, where she owns and operates a successful, private music studio.

Publisher's Description

The needs are real: Children are dying from lack of access to basic nutrition and health care. Human slaves are trafficked in our home cities and around the world. Believers face prison time in East Asia. Racial injustice continues to fester in America.

It’s not that I don’t care, I just don’t know what to do, is the heart cry of many American women. Daily life threatens to send us on emotional overload. It hurts too much to put a face to the victims. Unending media images leave us emotionally disengaged, and we often skim over the tough questions: How do I live out caring for the poor when they seem invisible? Can I care for social justice when I feel broken and am in debt? Is it even possible as a middle-class, exhausted family to do anything meaningful for others?

In Mercy Rising, author Amber Robinson offers the tools women need to make the impact their hearts desire to make. Filled with helpful hints, inspired insights, and solid biblical wisdom, this organized resource makes finding your compassionate feet easily accessible.

Amber Robinson has taken a daunting topic and and broken it down into manageable pieces that helps each one of us make a difference in our world, our communities, and on our block. I love how the book takes the reader from right where they are and encourages new levels of engagement starting with "the one thing I can do." I also love how it's not a cookie-cutter book - what works for me and my lifestyle in pursuing Biblical justice may not work for you, but you too can find your own path. There's no condemnation for not following a specific path - rather, the reader finds encouragement and hope that my little contribution will change the world - for someone.
