Product Description

The global war on terror has reached catastrophic proportions, leading the U.S. Special Operations EOD team-Task Force Valor-to Chernobyl, where ghosts of past disasters are nothing compared to the nuclear nightmare about to unfold.

With CIA Agent Mary "Phoenix" Walker heading her first Special Ops mission and Master Sergeant Bobby Sweeney fighting demons on and off the battlefield, Task Force Valor races to stop a terrorist threat in the Ukraine before Europe is turned into a radioactive wasteland.

But when the terror reaches American shores, the team is powerless to help until they can save themselves. And when they finally track down the source of the chaos, what they find is worse than anything they could have imagined.

Endorsements

“Chuck Holton’s military experience and astounding real-life adventures lend authenticity to his writing rarely found in today’s fiction or non-fiction. It is entertainment - masterfully mixed with powerful life lessons that you can use - and pass on to your friends.” — LtCol Oliver North USMC (Ret), Host of War Stories on FOX News Channel & NYT Bestselling author of American Heroes

“Meltdown is even more hair-raising because it is so plausible. But if I'm on the run in a hot zone, there's no one I'd rather have at my back than the men--and woman--of Task Force Valor. An explosive climax is a reminder of just Who really controls our lives and destiny. My only disappointment in turning the last page was saying goodbye.” — Jeanette Windle, author of Veiled Freedom, Betrayed, CrossFire (etc.)

“Chuck Holton has done it again! Meltdown is hot and will keep you sizzling on the edge of your seat! Keep some ice water nearby. Chuck’s latest may just be his hottest! Highly recommended!” — Don Brown, author of the Navy Justice Series

Had never heard of Chuck Holton. Bought the three-book series to read on vacation. The reading experience was wonderful. Holton did not simply put a Christian challenge or two in the mix...he wove personalities and action packed adventure with Christian and non-Christian men and women working together. I enjoyed all three books...and yes, Meltdown was an excellent conclusion to the entire series. Certainly look forward to Holton's next books.

a good story and a nail-biter again. I enjoy Chuck's ability to have God involved in peoples' realities in a plausible, respectful way.

This third book I didn't read. Just like the two previous ones, I gobbled it up, devoured it, whatever. Wow!The other reviewer called the ending "frightening", I would say all three books are frightening in the entire plots, not just the ending. Though finding an honorable character go off the rails like ...did (Ain't telling!)hightens that factor. This whole series is much too close to reality and I am glad to have a Sure Hope through Christ. Or my heart and mind would already be in the setting of Revelation. Chernobyl has scared me since it happened and continues to do so to this day. I only hope that the book's scenes are just that: A writer's story. I also hope that Mr. Holton can write more books, and soon, even if not necessarily in the Valor series. My reason for not giving this the whole five stars is some language concern. I despise euphemistic cussing (heck, darn, etc.) mainly because the Bible condemns it.A super wordsmith like Mr. Holton can imply it for the non-Christian book character and make the reader think of whatever the reader's own brain supplies.
