Product Description

Men today are confronted with many different expectations of who they're supposed to be and what role they should be filling. By looking at history, the clichés of manhood, and what intimacy with God looks like, this short book will help men (and women) rethink what it means to be a man in today's culture. Each of the 13 chapters concludes with a challenge. At the back of the book is a Small Group Guide with Objectives, Weekly Reflections, and Exercises for each chapter.

Publisher's Description

It is culturally confusing to be a man today. Between the opposite extreme messages men receive of having to be either an aggressive tough guy, or an accommodating passive one... most men are looking for a different way.

When Christ calls us to follow Him, He paves a path that isn't defined by our cultural expectations of masculinity. Instead He blazes a middle trail that leads us to a more intimate relationship with Him-out of which we can be more fully who He has created us to be. By looking at history, our culture, the clichés of manhood, and what intimacy with God looks like-this short book will offer up hope and a new perspective for men (and women) to rethink what it means to be a man in today's culture.
