book will fix you right up - a lighthearted, humorous, inspirational read that will put a smile on your face.
I LOVED this book! It was such a cute cozy that - while it showed God's help and presence - wasn't a 'come to Jesus' book.I'm still not sure who I liked best! The characters were awesome and the only thing lacking in their race to find the murderer and clear Aunt Connie's name is a series! I'd so love to see more books by this author and with these characters!
As the librarian for a small West Texas high school, I am always on the lookout for good literature for our students without the immorality found in most young adult books today. May Cooler Heads Prevail, by Teri Dunnegan, meets all the qualifications. Students will love the quirky characters and their unexpected predicaments while teachers will love the descriptive language and vocabulary.
This was a very amusing book to read. Lots of suspense but, also lots of laughs.
"May Cooler Heads Prevail" is intended for an adult audience. It provides a light-hearted look at a serious subject. The suspense, matchmaking efforts, and list of endearing characters make this an enjoyable book that will leave the reader satisfied. It might even make them wonder what kind of crazy things their own relatives may do in the privacy of their own homes.
Out of the ordinary plot in this mixed up mystery, the family (somewhat over the top) always took care of their own. Add a budding romance and a few heart stopping moments, and you have a good read.
This was a fun mystery, crazy relatives and all. Enjoyed getting to know Dixie and her family and the mystery that entangled them. The relatives, always taking care of each other, ended up getting in trouble together. Murder and romance will bring a smile to any reader wanting a good rainy day read.
Book #5 of the Hometown Mysteries is one of the best ones I've read so far! The Tanner family keeps you guessing what they're going to do every step of the way to figure out who killed Aunt Connie's long lost fiancee, Aaron Scott, and why he showed up 40 years later! How will they keep Aaron's body hid from Sheriff Otis while they find the murderer? What a great mystery! I loved every second of it.
