I'm a homeschooling mom. I've not really used "Christian-based" curriculum before (outside The Classical Mind: Story of the World) As a former teacher in the public schools, I had a good understanding of a lot of different math curriculum. I took my daughter through Everyday Math with great success, but needed another book to finish out the year(as I didn't want to push her to the next grade level just yet) My mom is a teacher in a Christian school and recommended this workbook. My daughter is a VISUAL learner and therefore the colorful pages with great attention to detail and explanation work great for her. We also had tried Saxon...although Saxon has lots of components, it is extremely monotonous and plain...the only "lacking" thing with BJU's Math is the lack of daily fact review...so, I would advise flash cards or just a review addition/subtraction/multiplication workbook to go along with it.
