Out of that ministry’s success comes God in the Marketplace, a book to help everyone from the front desk to the executive suite best experience God’s will in his or her work. Blackaby believes that just as Jesus had businessmen among His original disciples, so may God be calling out businesspeople today in preparation for a worldwide spiritual revival. However, while those in the marketplace may have excellent educations and access to world-class leadership seminars, they often feel inadequate in matters of spiritual influence. God in the Marketplace will help them better understand what the Bible says about integrating their Christian faith with their work lives and provide biblical answers to the common yet difficult questions that are often raised for Christians at work. Endorsements: “Each page challenges ‘conventional wisdom’ with time-tested truth. Tremendous insights.”
—John D. Beckett, chairman, R. W. Beckett Corporation, and author of Loving Monday and Mastering Monday
“Clear, biblical perspectives. A ‘must-read’ for those seeking to achieve personal and business accomplishment.”
—David “Mac” McQuiston, president and CEO, CEO Forum Inc.
“Relevant, helpful, instructive, and encouraging.”

3 of 3 Reviews Showing: Reviewed by Bryan (Michigan), January 18, 2010I am reading this book for a small group the church is doing. Some bible verses are misinterpreted, He talks about in Ezekiel 36:21-36 about Israel getting a new heart on pg 35 of his book, he says when we go back to God that he gives us a new heart when we leave sin. Totally ignoring the original context of the kingdom of heaven, literal 1,000 years. Recommend the Greatness of the Kingdom for this topic. Also he uses the word "calling" often, maybe the readers would enjoy Decision Making and the Will of God for this topic. he does have some decent stuff, but it is all a given, nothing really new here is this book, sorry blackaby. Reviewed by Lynne Laframboise (East York, On,), September 13, 2009I needed one for the plebes and found one geared towards management. However, the major idea is the same: find ways to acknowledge God in your work and He will fight the battles when they come. Reviewed by Jen Hayes (Charleston, SC), August 04, 2008I love this book! This book will greatly benefit all Christians who work! It covers so many typical workplace issues - how to approach them, think about them, deal with them... it's a fantastic resource. Many thanks to the Blackabys. Write a review of God in the Marketplace: Experiencing His Will in Your Work Other Customers Also PurchasedFind Related ProductsAuthor/Artist Review |
