An excellent book that every christian should read. This book will not be sitting on my bookshelf, I will be passing it around. I will give it to my pastor next. Every pastor should be preaching on this. It is truly an eye opening book.
Beware! This book is distrubing and not for those who don't want to be disturbed out of their complacency.
This book exposes how evil is surreptitiously taking over America and influencing society, especially amongst the young. He exposes the real meaning behind benign phrases that have been used to legitimise evil and deviant behaviour and to inoculate people against opposing all that is happening. Similar things are happening in my country of Australia.
He brings scripture alive by showing how good is now evil and evil is now good with expose of the abortion industry, gay rights, sex and rebellion, the destruction of marriage, radical education and so on.
No one who is serious about their faith can afford to ignore the message in the book. In the last chapter he states that things could be worse but for the true christians who are prepared to stand up and be counted. He is disappointed in the CHINOS, christians in name only who are not much different to the world.
A quote in his last chapter goes like this. "It's time to give up the life of pride-the impatient, vain, selfserving, pleasure seeking, egotistical, and utterly faithless part of us that has made all of us such absudly easy targets for con men through the ages. The fox in Pinocchio is alive and well and is still selling us on the joys of Pleasure Island."
Strong words but very necessary and needed in these days of "me centred"religion.
It was a fascinating and an amazing experience to read about American historical events through which I have lived, knowing that at the time I did not fully understand what was actually unfolding. David Kupelian has done an excellent job of presenting the facts that surrounded, shaped, and determined those historical issues thus providing the reader with a real understanding of what has really been happening these past sixty years. I highly recommended this book, and considered it a must read for all Americans. eds
I should let my husband write this as he is the one that read it. I purchased it for him under advisement of a friend. He really enjoyed it. He looked up online some of the things in the book and was shocked to find them true and not as we are all "taught" by the media and even school! He has given it to me to read, but I have not had a chance. I would recommend this as a gift to your husband or friend. It seems to be very popular among men.
The author has done a tremendous job of researching and identifying the factors which have contributed to the rapid decline of the moral integrity of America and its churches. Some information presented was known but considerable new information was provided for which I greatly appreciate. Why Christianity in America has silently allowed a minority with diverse objectives to neutralize Biblical teaching is a paradox. A further paradox is the rapidity with which the neutralization has occurred.Kupelian has a done an excellent job describing the pervasive influence of the "Marketers of Evil."My thanks to him.
