Life required so much hard work and sacrifice. It is inspirational to me, that with God's help they made it work as well as it did.
"Maple Notch Brides" is a story of three generations and two different families. The only problem I had was a little confusion sometimes, of who was related to who in the preceding generations, as they would often just refer to a mother, father, grandfather, etc. instead of giving the name. But overall the stories were a very good read.
