The greatest mind in the universe imagined time. The truest judge granted Adam a choice. But it was love that gave Immanuel, God with us.
The Author would enter his own story. The Word would become flesh. He, too, would be born. He, too, would be human. He, too, would have feet and hands, tears and flesh.
Witness the birth of Christ as you've never seen it before. Through twenty-five inspirational selections from the works of bestselling author Max Lucado, join Mary and Joseph inside a stable, beside a shepherd, at the feet of the King. Immanuel in the manger.

Chaplain GilAnthony, FlAge: 55-65Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Wonderful insight and superb Lucado writingNovember 27, 2013Chaplain GilAnthony, FlAge: 55-65Gender: maleI recieved an advance copy of this book earlier this month at the Southern Baptist Convention. I read through it on a whim because of my love for Max's style of writing. It is a compilation of excerts from some of his better known books all centered around the birth of Christ and the feelings of Mary and Joseph. It is an easy read as are all of Max's books and yet so informative and uplifting. I recommend it to all, believers or not. It should open your eyes and your heart and make you sing.

This book took selections from his other works and utilized them for the advent season. I read this out loud to my children during advent. It was interesting enough to -usually- keep my 9 year olds attention, yet meaningful enough to impact my 21 year-old when she visited.

It is like looking at a black & white movie and a color movie...Wow!
