My apologies to the producers/actors for my rating because this was a good family movie if you do not have adopted kids or a blended family. Unfortunately, a big part of the plot was Mandie getting away from her adoptive mother/step-mother. She was painted to be an evil woman, but her flaws seemed to be that she was allergic to cats and made Mandie do chores. In the end, her "real" mom shows up to save the day, looking like a queen. If you're not an adoptive family, you won't notice this and you'll enjoy the movie. If you are, then you probably understand this is a BIG PROBLEM!

This was a good movie. Some scenes were abit low in quality as per special affects and some acting was off. But overall the movie kept you wondering what might happen next and it was morally good. My daughter is wanting to see more from other books, so that is always a good indicator.

This is a wonderful Christian family movie. It was well done. The scenery was beautiful, the storyline was done well and the acting was good. I did, however expect Mandie to be much younger, as in the books. If there is to be more movies in the series, she will be too old. I love the way the Cherokee legend was weaved into the story. I hope there are more in the Mandie series.

My daughter, 11 yrs. old, said she liked it better than the Nancy Drew movie. It stayed true to the book and we really liked that. It was a little slow in a couple of places, but the scenery made up for that!

Watched this with my in-laws who are very particular about the types of movies they see. Everyone enjoyed this film along with the the twists & turns it took. Some parts seemed overly simple but I think that's where this movie finds its charm. It had a very good message about friendships & family that will encourage the viewer to examine their life for any unforgiveness they may have. We all agreed that we would like to see more of the Mandy stories on film.
