Publisher's DescriptionAn in-depth look at Christian theology through Hispanic eyes. It weaves the doctrinal formulations of the early church on creation, the Trinity, and Christology into contemporary theological reflection on the Hispanic struggle for liberation. This volume offers a major theological statement from a respected theologian and author. Richly insightful and unique, Manana is one of the few major theological works from a Protestant representative of the Hispanic tradition. Justo L. Gonzalez offers theological reflections based upon unique insights born of his minority status as a Hispanic American. Author Bio Justo L. González is engaged in two main occupations: writing and promoting the theological education of Latinas and Latinos. González has published more than 80 books, hundreds of articles, and served twenty years as editor for the journal Apuntes. Several of his books are used as textbooks in seminaries and colleges and are translated into Portuguese, Korean, Chinese, German, Japanese, and Russian. He founded the Asociación para la Educación Teológica Hispana and the Hispanic Summer Program, which is sponsored by 38 seminaries and universities. He was also the first Executive Director of the Hispanic Theological Initiative, a program based at Princeton Theological Seminary. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
