Author BioDr. Richard Brown completed his Ph.D. in Education and Masters in Counseling and Masters in Education at Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona. His Masters in Pastoral Theology was from the University of San Francisco, California. Dr. Brown also did two years of Catholic theology studies at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. He spent seven years as high school teacher in both Catholic and public schools and 22 years as a high school counselor. During twenty of those years he maintained a family counseling private practice and directed The Center for Effective Ministry, a church-related adult seminar/retreat/consulting business, which he currently heads. He has authored and presented over 100 original seminars and retreats in over fifteen States, applying Scripture/psychology topics applied to leadership, teaching, counseling, parenting and Catholic spirituality.
