In this book, author Jim George explores how Paul took God s priorities for life and made them his own. The result? He had a significant impact on everyone around him. From Paul we can learn how to
Author InfoJim George and his wife, Elizabeth George, are Christian authors and speakers. Jim, author of A Husband After God's Own Heart (a Gold Medallion finalist) and The Bare Bones Bible Handbook, has MDiv and ThM degrees from Talbot Theological Seminary. He has served in various pastoral roles for 25 years and on The Master's Seminary staff for ten years. Jim and Elizabeth have two married daughters and are grandparents.
ChristianBookPreviews.comMotivational speaker, Bible teacher, and professional counselor, Jim George has focused on a topic close to his heart in his latest book, The Man Who Makes a Difference. Indeed, one thing a Christian man should strive for is to make a difference in his work, family, church, and community, and George provides a good tool to help that happen. Using ten keys (including prayer, obedience, purity, and service), George excitedly leads the reader through many obstacles and challenges that men face in life, giving advice, sharing anecdotes, and providing Scripture verses as guides. The book includes quotes from influential Christians, helpful prayers, Bible verses to live by, and even chapter-by-chapter study questions found at the back of the book.
Whereas George spends considerable time talking about (and even quoting) himself and uses exclamation points and italics in excess, this, nevertheless, is a great reference tool for new Christians and those wishing to renew their faith. This isn't heavy theology, but it is a good first step in learning how to live a life that is pleasing to God.
