encouraging, not condemning
March 16, 2016
Too many godly parents face condemnation when their kids make bad choices, even when they did right to raise them. This book is very well balanced. It gives hope and comfort. It covers spiritual issues as well as medical/mental factors that MAY play a role (without blaming rebellion/sin on medicine).
This book gave much hope and comfort to know someone has been through the same hard trials that my husband and I have been enduring. I would recommend this book for parents who have lost their children to the world after raising them to believe and trust in the Lord. Or to parents that have teenagers that are showing signs of leaving the faith. God is good and faithful. We trust in His sovereignty. Parents need to know that God gave us many examples in the Bible of parent with wayward children. We are called to be faithful. We cannot save our children.
