Linda Rios Brook brings new depth of imagery into the spirit world and scholarship to the old debate, What happened to the world between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2?” Part intriguing theological exploration, part swashbuckling adventure, Lucifer’s Flood presents an equally fascinating and frightening tale of prehistoric heaven and Earth.

The writing was very accessible and the storyline was too, though I was a bit disappointed about that. I don't know; I guess it's the honors English student inside me, since I do take honors English (A+ in that class BTW). But I was more disappointed by the theology. The author makes a note to the reader tha the book is not a theological teatise, however, I was not happy about some of the theology included in the book. It did not stray outside the lines of basic Christian doctrine, but I did not agree with a lot of the theories included in Lucifer's Flood. The worst part for me was theat redemption didn't enter the picture directly until the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. Redemption is woven in every strand of God's Word. The reason Noah took 120 years to build the Ark: God was giving the people of earth, who were extremely sinful, a chance to repent. It's not that he was old. (I know six hundred seems decrepit, but really it was probably like late forties. Then again... JK! Sorry. I'm a teenager.) Anyway, this book failed to meet my full expectations, but it was pretty good, and I will be reccomending it to my friends. And I do reccomend it to you. Just decide some of the theological theories for yourself before you explore it.

I really enjoying it. This whole series is great. I look forward to book 4 in the next month.

liz olvera5 Stars Out Of 5May 24, 2010liz olveraI read both Lucifer's flood and Deliverance and found myself at the edge of my seat. I couldn't put the book down. Could it have happened in that manner? were there angel in the line of Michaels fire that just were at the wrong place at the wrong time? But at the same time, that would mean admitting a mistake was made. I can't wait for the 3rd series. Something big is about to happen.what will the scrolls reveal next?
Alice StrattonTexasAge: Over 65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5January 21, 2010Alice StrattonTexasAge: Over 65Gender: femaleThis is a spellbinding finctional tale about the beginning as told by a deamon who found himself in the wrong place during the great war in heaven when Lucifer rebells against God. The author tells it as though he is writing a diary and at places it is hysterical. It made me order #2(Moses & Joshua) of the series and I cant wait for #3 due in April 2010
