4 Stars Out Of 5
Sweet, somewhat predictable, easyread
March 31, 2016
You get three short stories in one volume in Karen Ball's Love's Surprise. It wouldn't be Karen Ball without an element of humour in each story. They are sweet, easy to read, and so worth the effort. There's Valentine's Surprise in which a blind date goes horribly wrong, but turns out to be the best blind date of all in the end. Then there's my personal favourite, Jericho's Walls, in which a ferret does some matchmaking for a more mature couple. And finally, An Unlikely Angel where it's time for a destructive Siberian Husky to take a turn at the matchmaking. The only thing that is not a surprise is how much I enjoyed this little collection. I think you will too.
