Calida Holstein4 Stars Out Of 5Love this seriesSeptember 21, 2015Calida HolsteinQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4My 8 year old loves this series and was sad when we had watched all the series up to Love Finds a Home. This was a welcome addition to our collection. It was a little difficult to fit the pieces together with who's who in the series but the story was still good but I agreed that it was less of a Christian movie than the others, especially the ones directed by Michael Landon Jr. Hopefully it will inspire us to now read the books.

BuggsMinnesotaAge: 55-65Gender: Female4 Stars Out Of 5Good Family Movie but No specific Christian emphasisNovember 10, 2014BuggsMinnesotaAge: 55-65Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 3I agree with daisydogv's review in that the movie had no scenes of praying or giving God the praise. This is a family movie but not a "Christian" movie--if that makes any sense. It is far different from Love Comes Softly where not only was there prayer but hymn singing and references to God. That said, I enjoyed this movie for what it was -- a family friendly movie. But if you are expecting a Christian theme-based story, you will probably be disappointed.
Q: Didn't Ellen die in Loves Everlsting Courage??? In the previous movie Loves Everlasting Courage it shows Ellen dying from a fever like disease...so how can she be alive in this movie? Or is it set before Love Begins when she meets Clark???
Yes, Ellen did die in Loves Everlasting Courage. Ellie, in Christmas Journey, is the sister of Aaron Davis and the daughter of Clark and his second wife Marty.
Q: When did Ellie come along in the dvd series? Ellie (Elvira) was the daughter that married Lane in the book Love's Unending Legacy. But the only Ellie I remember in the dvds was Eleanor the fiance of Sheriff Tyler that was killed in a bank robbery.
Ellie is the younger sister of Aaron Davis who was born to Marty and Clark Davis at the end of the first film but apparently didn't appear in any of the other films. This movie is based on the characters in the books/films.
