Enjoyable, easy read, highly recommend to womens group, book club. Such a delight reading her books. She brings to light some struggles women ministers have within the church. Might be fiction to some but reality to others. Thanks Vanessa for writing such a great book

I really enjoyed this second book in Vanessa Miller's Second Chance at Love series. Serenity Williams is a good friend of Melinda Johnson's, from Miller's first book in the series Yesterday's Promise, which I previously reviewed. Melinda was engaged to a man who didn't believe that a woman should be a minister. She used Serenity's relationship with her fianc to prove that a man can, and should, support his successful, and Christian, woman. This second book starts off with Michael, Serenity's fianc, calling off their wedding just a week before the big date! She's devastated, as any woman would be. Pastor Philip McKnight is an ex-football player who is interviewed on Serenity's religious television show. He's the first man she's interviewed on her show. He's a single father raising his daughter alone. He's trying to recover from his divorce.Serenity has endured many hurts, and is a little (okay, a LOT) jaded when it comes to relationships. So, when Pastor McKnight takes an interest in her, she doesn't appreciate it. When she's told that she's stand-offish when it comes to her studio audience, she doesn't appreciate it. She needs to mellow out and maybe, just maybe, Phillip McKnight is just the man to help her along. If she will allow him to.Like I said, earlier, I enjoyed this book. The characters were fully developed and Vanessa Miller made Phillip McKnight another one of those good men who are hard to find...

Vanessa Miller has a way with words... In "A Love For Tomorrow" we meet Serenity; a preacher's kid who has seen too much. She has a very succesful television ministry yet, she is disconnected from her audience. She likes it that way because there is a fear of betrayal and hurt. Serenity must learn to be open to people in order to see God's plan through. She must also learn to trust and love unconditionally; just as God loves and trust us.We also meet meet Philip who is still recoverimg from a divorce. He must learn to forgive and not measure every woman by his ex-wife. When he and Serenity meet sparks fly.I found myself rooting for Philip and Serenity. Ms. Miller has written a thought provoking book with sound scriptural teaching. I can't wait until the next book. I Loved it!!!
