Corbin Hunter never wanted to return to his hometown and the painful memories he left behind, but his desire for revenge is stronger. He returns only to capture the man who murdered his father; his past feelings for Catherine Morgan have nothing to do with his temporary homecoming. Avoiding the Morgan family becomes difficult when he discovers Catherines sister is engaged to the man he is trying to catch. Will Corbins bitterness and drive for revenge sever all chance of reconciliation with Catherine, leaving them with painful memories instead?
Psalm 103:2-5 says, Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. Harris wisely prefaces the story with this passage. These verses describe what the characters must remember throughout the course of trying events --when life seems at an all-time low, God is always there to save and restore.
Lisa Harris does an excellent job creating a tale in which readers quickly become engrossed. The characters are easy to relate to and have believable traits and feelings. Not only is the story entertaining, but it contains several lessons related to forgiveness and faith. This story will make you want to keep reading more of Harris work. All ages of women will enjoy the enthralling tale and lessons of Love Finds You in Revenge, Ohio. Elizabeth Ford, www.ChristianBookPreviews.com

Deborah5 Stars Out Of 5October 21, 2009DeborahThe Love Finds You In... series has been putting out some awesome titles in both contemporary and historical genres. This is one of the historical novels and I really enjoyed reading it. I really liked Catherine's character for standing up and trying to protect her family. It wasn't fair that she had to be in charge of her sisters at such a young age but she did everything in stride. I did feel her sisters were a bit spoiled because of Catherine's desire to protect them but it was with good intentions. Her relationship with Corbin is played out very well. I was pleased that there was a history between the two of them and not because of some random chance meeting. The book, while having a historical setting, isn't really a historical novel. There isn't much reference to historical events that take place outside the town or that involve outside politics and world events. Instead the reader is immersed in the lifestyle of the nostalgic west and frontier when life was harder and the lifestyle was simpler. There is talk about the early use of the telephone in the town and it was enjoyable to read about how Catherine's sister would listen in to conversations as the town operator.I really enjoyed the mystery that ran through the story. It was done very well and kept me on my toes. I didn't expect the culprit to be who it was and was pleasantly surprised. It's a really fun read that's light and combines the romance, historical setting and mystery perfectly. The story is written extremely well. It's not very preachy, the characters are multidimensional and the storyline just flows very well. This book is great for a fall evening as you get all comfy with a warm blanket and hot cup of cocoa.Overall I really enjoyed reading this book. I have been impressed with all the titles from the Love Finds You.. series and this book makes a great edition to the pack. I'll be looking forward to reading more from Lisa Harris in the future.

Tell us a little about yourself. Like most moms, Ive become a teacher, chef, nurse, life coach, cheerleader, adviser. . .hmm. . .Im sure there are plenty more I could list. Needless to say, life is definitely never dull, but I wouldnt have it any other way! After living in South Africa for a number of years, my husband, three children, and I moved to Mozambique a year ago. We are now involved in a church planting movement. I also started home schooling last year, so theres been A LOT of changes, but Gods doing some amazing things here and we are blessed to be apart of it.
What was your motivation behind this project? Originally, I was interested in using a storyline that included a young woman who worked as one of the first telephone operators in the late 1800s. In small towns, these women often knew everything that was going on, shared recipes and weather reports, or simply chatted. What would happen, though, if they overheard something they shouldnt have. . .like plans for murder. I took this idea as a jumping off place, added the thread of revenge, and the story began to unfold.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I want all my stories to first of all entertain. We all love a page-turning story that keeps us up late into the night. And along with the enjoyment of a good story, I want to share a message of hope with a spiritual thread that encourages and draws the reader closer to the one true God.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? Catherine reminded me how important it is to really trust in God for everything. She's a bit like Martha, worried about everything and often forgetting what's really important. Trusting God for everything means letting go of past hurts, feelings of revenge, and even feelings of inadequacy, and letting Him heal our hearts, and then sharing that joy with others.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Music inspires me and my iPod is filled with great music from artist like Chris Tomlin and MercyMe. My favorite genre is suspense, but I recently read Jill Smith's Michal and loved seeing the story of David come to life. Very inspiring!
