My whole family loved this one! Even my husband, who doesn't sit still through most children's videos, enjoyed himself. Yes, it is a spoof; but one with meaning, "What do you do with the gifts you are blessed with?" I say keep up the good work Veggie Tales!
Loved it!Wasn't sure how I'd feel about a spoof on Lord of the Rings, and wasn't sure how the message would come off. Phil and Mike did it again, giving us a sink full of fun and bringing us God's word. My three kids and husband all thought it was cool and funny and we all recommend Lord of the Beans. Written by a Tolkien and Veggie fan, parent/youth minister.
As a die-hard VeggieTales fan since the early days, I had mixed feelings about LOTB. While it was certainly clever and entertaining, I felt the lesson was weak - the writers appear much more interested in creating a cute spoof than in presenting an edifying and applicable lesson for young children.
veggie tales used to be original. i've grown up with it and threy taught valuable lessons with the Bible as the focal point. Now they are just mocking good movies and adding rude humor. veggie tales used to be way better. I was rather horrified with the ones after Jonah in which the original scriptwriters wrote the last one.
