That book captivated me and I wasn't able to put it down until I had finished it. I loved most of the the characters in that story and was touched by their struggles, their trust, hope and faith. But: There was definitely too much death and loss in that short time the story tells. That's why I wouldn't recommend that book.
I can always count on a Colleen Coble book to be well written and have a terrific blend of both suspense and romance and this book did not let me down. Her characters and story line were flawless. She brings in God and faith into the story which is always a plus for me.
This series is set in Texas at a ranch that rehabilitates horses, and sometimes people. Allie and Rick were well suited and had the right amount of chemistry. I didn't put this book down until I finished it.
Colleen Coble is one of my favorite authors. This story was terrific. It held my interest and I read it in one day. I rooted for the characters. It held my interest. I don't usually write reviews immediately after I finish the book, but I couldn't help myself. I read this out of order in the series so I will re-read Lone Star Secrets and Lonestar Homecoming.
