I just rec'd this book and haven't given it to my son yet. It is sooo appropriate and is very well written for a boy to even read it to himself if he is easily embarrassed. I am looking forward to giving this to my son I think he will be happy to learn that hes normal.

My son just turned 12 and is starting to show signs of pubery. He is kinda backwards on the subject and embarrasses easily but Lintball did it for him -he didnt put the book down til he read it cover to cover. Thank you that was great! Written with bible verses to show him what he was reading was true information also was a plus!

I have not shared this book with my son yet, but I've gone through it. I particularly like how even topics I feel my son is too young to read about, like masturbation and sexual thoughts, are dealt with from a Christian perspective. There are scripture references throughout and Godly behavior is stressed. The format is designed for boys in a question and answer format and there are silly cartoon drawings that I think would appeal. A variety of topics are covered, including physical and emotional changes. There is even a section, broken down by age, which lists changes (visible and not) a young man may experience. I think it will prove a great resource for my son.

I bought this for my son (he turned 9 last week) as he has already started showing some signs of puberty (BO). I read it as soon as it came, in about an hour. Being a single mom, I wasn't sure how to approach some of the things this book covers, and some of this stuff I didn't even know until I read it myself! He's already asked me what a couple different words mean. I agree with another reviewer, I wish there was a glossary. But overall, I've been pleasantly surprised at my sons interest. I saw that his light was on after bed time last night, and found him reading this book. I let him finish the chapter before going to sleep. I love that the books alludes to the fact that even Jesus went through puberty, and several times it emphasizes that fact that God made our bodies, and we shouldn't be embarrassed or ashamed of them.

I am reading this book to my 8 1/2 year old son. There are some parts that are not relevant to him right now, but they are just around the corner, so I'm glad I bought this book. It's in an easy to read and understand format; kinda silly in places but it's good, especially for an 8 year old!
