In a quiet Florida town, life is idyllic for Jack and Molly Campbell and their 4-year-old son, Joey. But one day a phone call shatters their peace. A social worker reports that Joey's biological father, newly released from prison, wants his son back. Can Jack devise a plan to circumvent a judge's devastating decision? 256 pages, softcover from Warner Faith.
Kingsbury delivers a powerful new novel about two parents' love for their child and the surprising lengths they will go to keep their family together when a judge rules that their adopted son must be returned to his biological father.
Molly and Jack Campbell live a dream life. They share a deep love for each other, own a beautiful house close to their relatives, and have an adorable, adopted four-year-old son named Joey. But one day the bubble pops and their dream life is threatened to change forever.
Like Dandelion Dust is yet another intriguing and well-written book to add to bestselling author Karen Kingsbury’s collection. This story of fear, faith, and family that Kingsbury creates will pull readers into the lives of the Campbells and their drastic attempt to hold their family together in the midst of crisis.
The book centers on Joey, a sweet blonde boy who was adopted by the Campbells when he was a baby. He couldn’t be in a safer or more loving environment. He is growing, learning, and thriving with the only parents he has ever known. Then, one phone call causes chaos and tears at his house. Before Joey turns five, he is to be taken away from the Campbells forever and thrown into his biological parents’ home – a home with an abusive, anger-driven father. Throughout the Campbells’ fight for Joey and his safety, they learn to trust God during the hard times and have faith like a child’s.
This story contains characters who continually hold the reader’s attention. They are well developed and seem to step off the page. Kingsbury is amazing at creating characters who are realistic in the midst of fiction. Readers will be particularly impressed with Joey and his cute, childish way of seeing the world. It is obvious that the author has and loves children. She also does a great job of capturing a mother’s heart.
Fans of Karen Kingsbury, or any reader looking for an exciting and heart-felt novel, will love Like Dandelion Dust. The last page will come much too quickly and Joey will leave all with smiles on their faces. – Amy Nickerson, Christian Book Previews.com

Very good story. Easy to read. Captures your attention and senses very early in the story. Unable to put the book down. Amazing love of God portrayed over and over. Displays how being obedient to God is so vital for true living in this sinful world.
Truely let's one know that God has a plan for each of us in this world and that we need to be listening to his voice and ready to act. It also showed how important prayer and witnessing is in our every day life - especially around our own families.

I have read nearly everything Karen Kingsbury has written, and I am never disappointed. This book, however, has to be her best. I have never been so moved by a book and characters before, especially little Joey and all he went through. I'm so glad the book has a happy ending for the little guy!!
