This is the first year that I have used Lifepac materials, and I will never order them again! The material is hard to understand, and presented too rapidly. My son manages OK with the daily lessons only when they are done at a slower pace than required. Also, the teats require a phenomenal amount of memorization. His step- sister is also overwhelmed with her Lifepac. Unless you're a genius at grammar, don't waste money on this curriculum! The kits are way above grade level, and useless to the average student.

My daughter, age 14 and I both are language/grammar challenged. I ordered this because I know another homeschool family has been using it for many years and has success. However it seems to be written for those who already have a good grasp of the material and is helpful to have someone facilitate some lessons. The concepts are introduced and maybe 1 or 2 examples and the you're on your own. It's very frustrating for my daughter and she just can't get through the number of pages they recommend a day and the tests are hard because there's just so much material to memorize. She started off with a good attitude but now she's frustrated and I can't help her. I've got to find new curriculum now and fast. Better have your child take the placement test first. I didn't have access to that when I ordered from another company, good for CBD for having that.

I have just received this for next years curriculum but what I have seen so far, wow, this is going to be a wonderful change from public school curriculum.
