Lifepac History & Geography Complete Set, Grade 4
If you're looking for a workbook style to help guide you, give these a try. We were using PACES and found for my 5th grader a little too boring, old fashioned and not enough info. PACES are bible based but almost too much so. Lifepacs are very easy to use--I would suggest ordering a couple to see if they are for you. This is our 2nd yr of homeschooling, so I enjoy the guidance of the workbooks.

This was our first time using Lifepac History and Geography. Our child is in 3rd grade but we purchased 4th grade History and Geography and happy we did. It offers more of a challenge and 3rd grade would have been far too easy. I am happy with the content and ideas presented. My child really likes the stories and loves the Bible information in relation to the geography. We would purchase the next in the series.

We love this set so far. It's the first time I've tried Lifepacs with my daughter and I'm so glad we did. I do want to add that we are using this for geography only. We are using a separate history program. I think it is a great geography program but a tad weak in the history department.

There is so much to learn in history and my children have enjoyed learning with LIFEPAC. It's broken up into ten workbooks so it doesn't overwhelm the student. Grade 4 teaches about Columbus, space, Hong Kong, Australia and so much more. There are 3 or 4 sections to each workbook with a self test to follow each section. When the book is finished, the student takes a Unit test. Also has vocabulary words at the beginning of each workbook.
