Mom Learning Spanish tooAge: 45-54Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Good ValueSeptember 24, 2012Mom Learning Spanish tooAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4So far this product is good. The teacher manual is helpful. The units are arranged neatly and are very do-able along with the CDs. A good product for the money.

The material does not have enough explanations to guide you through the text. We dropped this and ordered Visual Link.
sharondupstate NYAge: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Workbooks helpful; CDs challengingAugust 24, 2012sharondupstate NYAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4I bought this Spanish I program for my 9th grade homeschool student because she learns best with workbooks, which were not provided by the immersion-approach program she used in 8th grade. The CDs use a combination of male and female voices to read the exercises, and it can be hard to discern whether an accent is required or not, or even to clearly hear an unfamiliar word (student wrote "pambien" instead of "tambien" because she couldn't clearly discern the sounds and didn't know that word).
The workbooks are very helpful, however, if your student is a visual learner who benefits more from seeing and writing the grammar and vocabulary than from an immersion-approach (auditory).
Julie Schneider4 Stars Out Of 5May 10, 2010Julie SchneiderLove the color presentation for the student book. Love the simple way the language is broken down for the student. The audio CD's are very professional and the accent is authentic. However, the teacher's manual is very poorly organized and not very easy to use. Unless you have over the student's shoulder there is no way to know what the lessons are, so when you student asks a question, you must have their book, and read through it in order to get your bearings, just to answer a question.
