Life on The Line: The Extraordinary Life and Ministry of Des and Ros Sinclair
Life on the Line by Al Gibson is the astounding story of Des and Ros Sinclair miraculous ministry around the world. When Des was just eleven years old, his father through him out of his New Zealand home to live in the garbage dumps of the city with the rest of the outcasts. God spoke to the young boy and gave his a message of hope that he would became a minister of the Word. Des, in the first of many miracles God provided, found a Bible in the dump, taught himself to read it, and then preached to his fellow outcasts. This was just the beginning for Des who would be ordained at the young age of 18, face several near-death experiences, and witness shocking healings in Africa, the Philippines, and South America. His marriage to Ros has only strengthened his ministry as the two work together to bring God's Word to all who are in need. The Sinclair's story is stunning, almost unbelievable, and there will be many who don't believe their stories of the dead coming back to life, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. If the reader listens carefully to their words however, they are careful to always give all praise and glory to God and keep the focus off of themselves. Des' words about God's leading rings true and is always in line with Scripture. The story falters in places, not due to the Sinclairs , but because of Gibson's writing. On occasion when he tries to recreate conversations, he makes them too perfect. Gang members don't use the Queen's English, and it makes their testimony seem stilted and scripted. Gibson also uses Des' near-death experience and vision of Heaven as a frame for the rest of their story which doesn't always work, because it isn't told chronologically. Des and Ros' story is so powerful that it shines through the sometimes dull prose and gives hope that God is still actively working in the world for those who seek Him.

Life On The Line is absolutely mind blowing!!! The power of God hit me on several occasions reading the book the miracles, the passion for evangelism, the journey to Heaven and the compassion Christ has for every soul. It encourages me to work for no reward on earth that Jesus sees what we do and pray. I was profoundly convicted and a Godly fear came over me when you write on page 153 about Des and Pastor Zuli on the rubbish dump would reach out to those nobody wanted those closest to Gods heart that my friend deeply scares me about the overwhelming mercy and compassion Christ has for the despised in society. How do i compare in comparison?! It also gave me great insight into the demonic struggle on earth and the role of angels and the power of worship to unleash angelic protection. All i can do is be speechless for the lost and sing praise to Almighty God. This book has done the Body of Christ such a great service the many many many hours you must have spent piecing together the story of a man who in life and spirit will not be pinned down! A big thank you

I found this book to be a real eye opener into the spirit realm. I found it to be a MUST READ for all readers, as it was so fixating. I found it was written in an easy read format, and although it is an autobiography it is written like a novel to make it easier for the reader. I found it very exciting, heart pounding, emotional (yes even for us guys), pure and simple, and especially down to earth. Each chapter was true as it happened and not puffed up and exadurated. I also found it to be reachable with what the content was all about and where it was taking me. I found I could flow with it easily. And then most importantly of all I found my spiritual relationship with God has gone to new heights as this book opened both my eyes and my heart further to God and his unfailing loving kindness. I read how Des was thrown into jail, awaiting the death penalty and how the book of Acts came alive because Jesus is alive! He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He never changes. Then as I read about the one prisoner who accepted Jesus and the other who denied Him, I was taken back to the CROSS. I wept and cried. Its all about His presence. LIFE ON THE LINE has reignited the fire back into me. Des & Ros keep up the good work. Its all about winning souls for the Kingdom. GOD BLESS YOU!!! Lesley, South Africa.
