IL BirdBrain MomaIllinoisAge: 35-444 Stars Out Of 5Good FindMay 22, 2013IL BirdBrain MomaIllinoisAge: 35-44Quality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4I used the kindergarten level for this Math and liked it; even though I had to use extra supplementing to explain why this and why that. So I ordered this for first grade. I like the workbook feel. I am not crazy about the test/answer key/ teachers manual. They came with one staple holding them together. I am all for saving money but come on put 3 staples in each pamphlet. I really don't think first grade needs timed drill tests. I think it might just be used as a regular test your skill in knowledge not speed. As for the overall product, I will know more as the 2013-2014 school year progresses.
Thankful MommaWisconsinAge: 25-34Gender: female2 Stars Out Of 5waste of moneyMay 15, 2013Thankful MommaWisconsinAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 2Value: 2Meets Expectations: 2My son and I both disliked this workbook. There is not enough room for him to write. There are too many things stuffed onto a page. It is black and white and boring. This book did not work for our family. We only used a small part of it.

I have used level A with two of my boys and I am now using this with my 7 yr. son who has a very short attention span and gets frustrated very easy. He likes to be able to get his book, have a short lesson and get his work done so he can go on to other things (like playing). I love that it has lots of repetition (great for boys who forget easily, due to a wondering mind), I also like that it doesn't have bright colorful pictures that would distract my son. I will be using level B, which is now on the market. Plus you just can't beat the price of this curriculum.
Bobbie Geater5 Stars Out Of 5October 27, 2008Bobbie GeaterThis course of study is great. We also used the K edition. I only wish they had more grade levels. I highly recommend it,because my child does not have a whole lot of questions. He grasped it 99% on the first time.
Anne4 Stars Out Of 5October 19, 2008AnneEngaging book. We really are enjoying it and learning a lot. Worth the money. We have had to make our own manipulatives out of pencils, pennies, and a toy clock, but I recommend this book highly over the more expensive products on the market. It gets the job done at a family friendly price.
