This review was written for The Letter to the Hebrews - eBook.
For years I've used Barclay. For many years I used the paperback books, but then I discovered the ebooks - for the Kindle Fire, and I love using them as study guides.

I appreciate the detailed (but not to wordy) explanations of the scriptures.

I really love the way William Barclay explains things in laymen's terms and the history he gives with each verse.

This book, just like everything I have read by William Barclay, has shown me powerful new insights into the HolyLove of God, and how to personally apply the Bible into my life.

William Barcalay's commentaries are insightful and engaging, but Caveat Emptor! Please be aware the Barclay is not a Christian, he is a Unitarian who denies the Deity of Christ "Nowhere does the New Testament identify Jesus as God" (A Spiritual Biography, 1977 Edition, p. 56}. He also denies the Virgin Birth, substitutionary atonement, etc. I strongly suggest you read this with a grain of salt!
