lst time I've read this and can hardly wait to read the rest of the series. As a Christian, it causes us to be grateful and yet expectant of the Lord's return.

Book 1 is different than the others. I read up into part of Assassins but my favorite is Soul Harvest believe it or not. Don't take these literally. Listen to Mike Bickle. From IHOP in Kansas, International House of Prayer.

When I first picked up this book I had no idea what it was about, but by the end of the first chapter I was curious about the end of the world and the coming of Christ. After finishing the book I couldn't wait to go out and buy the next one but until then I have finally decided to read my Bible cover to cover.

OK, so these books are fiction and not to be taken as what will literally happen. Still, the theological implications they communicate are very unbiblical and misleading. If someone would actually study FIRST HAND other eschatological (last things) views in depth, then they would surely not fall for the theology these books are based on. Yes it is true that these books may be "hard to put down" for some but they really lack depth of character developement and atmosphere. If you want good Christian literature that is far more grounded in good theology yet still fantasy or mythology then read "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Chronicals of Narnia."

Let me just say that it angers me when people are so narrow-minded in their interpretation of such a book of the Bible as Revelation. I don't believe that there is a single person on this earth who knows exactly how this book should be interpreted. I do know, however, that the authors of Left Behind have no doubt spent a very, very long time in making absolutely sure that they are not misleading anyone with this series. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I'm anxious to read the next. It may not be exactly how things will happen, but then, only God really knows for sure, right? Until we find out, this series is excellent food for thought.

I loved this book along with the whole series. It follows the book of Revelations to a T. I recommend this book to EVERYONE, Christian and non-Christian alike.

Like the Mormons, LaHaye mixes theology and fantasy to a dangerous combination that will mislead many. 99.5% of biblical scholars give no validity to his interpretation of Revelation which he earnestly puts forth as "the" correct interpretation. The series should be "left behind".

Thus far, this has been an interesting series, to say the least. I found myself not able to put the book down but I also had my "reference" book (the bible) handy. This is one of the best (fiction) books I've read in a long time. After reading some of the reviews, I was amazed at how serious some of the readers took the contents. If you've read the bible for yourself, you would know that this book, and the rest of the series, is based on another person's interpretation of the rapture. With that in mind, I read it for what it is: Fiction.
