Sue4 Stars Out Of 5Leather Bible coverApril 30, 2015SueQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 3The Bible cover is beautiful, just the look I wanted, BUT the inside pockets allow my papers to slide out so that I either can't carry anything inside or I am constantly picking up papers that fall out. Still looking for that perfect carrier.

BeckyIndianapolis, INAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5You will love it!April 26, 2014BeckyIndianapolis, INAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This Bible case is made of real leather, that is soft and lovely. It is beautifully made in the United States and will last a lifetime. There is a neat little pewter-like cross attached to the handle with a narrow leather cord. I have the medium and the extra large sized cases. I have a very thick, large ESV study Bible that fits in the extra large sized case perfectly, with room in the outer pockets for pencils, a slender study guide, bookmarks, etc. I carry this one to Sunday School and Bible study with me every week. These cases are a little bit of an investment, but will serve you and your Bible well for years to come. I have used both mine for quite some time and they still look brand new. You will not be disappointed.
flagbearerColumbus, OHGender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Good productDecember 3, 2013flagbearerColumbus, OHGender: femaleQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1I like my Bible resting on the spine in this cover. In my old cover it hung the other way and was hard on the spine which was showing damage.
It is larger than I needed. I would have liked an XL than the XXL but it wasn't available. I was afraid the large would be too snug.
The handles can be folded under or even be tucked in the pockets so they are out of the way when open.
I'm pleased with it.
seekerGender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5High quality leather Bible cover, size XXLAugust 2, 2013seekerGender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5I recently purchased an Allan Bible and needed a cover to protect it from the weather when taking it to church. I wasn't sure this Bible cover would be big enough, but it works, just barely, with some room to spare across the other, shorter dimension. (My Bible is just over 10" tall with its yapp extended beyond the page edges, but the flexible yapp will fold downward some so that it will fit.) The XL might have also worked (the descriptions say the longer dimension is the same for both), but I got the largest size, XXL.
I also wanted an attractive cover. This black leather cover is very professional and dressy looking, although pricey, and seems to be well made. The leather is beautiful and very supple, and is lined inside with a black synthetic fabric. The small pewter cross charm adds just the right extra touch. The leather has a small grain and a semi-matte appearance, very nice (see pictures). I also like that the cover is made in the USA.
The cover has a single black zipper that extends around three sides, allowing the open cover to lie very flat. The handles can fold under when the cover is open, and the cross charm is attached around the hardware with a small string which could easily be snipped off with no damage. Outside, there is a full-width open pocket on each side of the cover which can hold a bulletin, etc. The back looks just like the front except for the cross charm. Inside, there is one fabric pen loop, and open pockets/flaps to hold a Bible's front and back cover or papers if you wish. (Bible manufacturers advise to not use these flaps on a Bible's cover, nor carry a Bible with its spine up, as these can damage the Bible's binding.) This cover, with the handles at the top, allows the Bible to be carried safely with its spine down.
The cover also easily fits my leather Zondervan Life Application Study Bible, which is much thicker but a little smaller than the Allan NKJV. There is a little extra space on the shorter dimension (width of the Bibles), so the XL might also possibly fit study Bibles.
Because the leather of this cover is very soft and flexible, exact measurements are hard to take, but the outside dimensions of the front piece, from seam to seam, are about 10 x 7 5/8". The inside, between the outer edges of the fabric liner's edge binding, can measure a little more, because it can flatten out, overlapping some of the "thickness" dimension of the cover. The cover is flexible, so to a degree, some of the thickness or height can be used to increase the L or W slightly, or vice versa. I hope that helps rather than adding confusion.
Although more expensive, this cover is nicer than the usual cover, provides a lot of protection, and seems durable. It's available in four sizes, and I was glad to find it in a size that will accommodate my Bible's longest dimension.
Q: Details! Details! Details! Is there a zipper? Does the bible slip into pockets inside so that it stays attached when opened? Or does it pull out? Do you have any other photos so I can see what the inside looks like? The description is very vague and the reviews donât tell me a thing either. For the record, I love reviews that have lots of detail - "happy camper", is great, but isn't really very informative. I couldn't possibly spend this kind of money on a Bible Cover without more details. Thank you.Leather Bible Cover with Handles, Black, XX LargeCBD Stock No: WW071121X
Yes, this Bible cover does have a zipper. There are pockets inside to hold the front and back covers of the Bible as well as two outside pockets. The only other feature inside is a pen loop.
Q: Does this cover come in other sizes? Also, additional pictures would be helpful. Are there similar styles for slightly smaller or slimmer Bibles? As others have said, more details and pictures would be helpful. Thanks
Yes, this cover also comes in a medium (WW71418X) and a large (WW744198) size. The interior has a pen loop and slip pockets for the cover of the Bible.
Q: How does the leather Bible cover with handles look inside? stock number WWO71121X
