Perfect for ministers going through depression I have stuggled with depression for several years . . . was diagnosed with clinical depression over 11 years ago. Several years ago I found myself on the threshold of depression again. Found this book, and it was a fresh, honest, open confession and practical guide for recovery of a minster dealing with depression and/or burnout. I have referred this book to all my minister friends. March 26, 2013

A Must Read For All Leaders!!! Leading on Empty: Refilling your tank and renewing your passion This book is a must read for anyone in leadership, especially those in ministry. Burnout happens when you keep pushing yourself and donÃ¢ÂÂt know when to slow down. Ultimately when it you hit it, itÃ¢ÂÂs too late! Wayne Cordeiro shares about his story of burnout and his recovery in a way that should change the way we view not only our lives but our ministries. He gives very practical tools and tips on how to avoid leading on empty and keep your spiritual tank from being emptied so easily. As a leader you give and give, but you canÃ¢ÂÂt give what you donÃ¢ÂÂt haveÃ¢ÂÂ¦ so how do you stay topped up? As I read this book I had time to do some self-evaluating of areas in my own life. IÃ¢ÂÂve hit burnout in the past and have put some guardrails around myself to make sure it doesnÃ¢ÂÂt happen again, but itÃ¢ÂÂs always a challenge.
