Publisher's Description

Most Christians are familiar with John the Baptist. Most, however, would not think to look to him as a model for leadership. Joseph Robinson Jr. has done just that in 7 Leadership Imperatives from a Wild Man. Whether seeking principles for the church or the boardroom, Robinson establishes seven distinct imperatives in this concise and practical resource:

1. Be sure
2. Be focused
3. Be humble
4. Be encouraged
5. Be discerning
6. Be complementary
7. Be uncompromising

The book explores these characteristics in today's leaders, from Mother Teresa to Michael Jordan, from Pastor Tony Evans to Coach Tony Dungy-as well as in characters from movies such as Mr. Holland's Opus, In the Heat of the Night, and Coming to America. What takes shape is a practical and provocative vision for developing individual leadership skills in any setting.
