Kathy5 Stars Out Of 5Maps, Charts and GraphsFebruary 15, 2016KathyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5When searching for a curriculum to teach our child about maps, I came across "Maps, Charts and Graphs" by Modern Curriculum Press on the Rainbow Resource Center website. "Maps, Charts and Graphs Level A, The Places Around Me" teaches basic math skills to young children in a friendly and fun format. The consumable worktext is divided into twenty one lessons, covering topics such as reading a picture to reading bar graphs. The text is self explanatory with colored pictures throughout. An answer key is in the back of the book. The series "Maps, Charts and Graphs" consists of eight levels: Level A The Places Around Me, Level B Neighborhoods, Level C Communities, Level D States and Regions, Level E United States and its Neighbors, Level F Eastern Hemisphere, Level G The World and Level H United States Past and Present. The series can be utilized according to the grade level listed on the back cover or at your child's own pace. This curriculum will give your child a firm foundation in reading and constructing maps, charts and graphs.
Lisa79El Paso, TXAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Will definitely get the rest!August 12, 2015Lisa79El Paso, TXAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I bought these for my homeschooled 'mostly 4th grader' who has been very bored with any social studies, geography or map curriculum so far. She LOVED this. In fact, what I had planned to be a once or twice a week course turned out to be a 3 day course. I let her work at her own pace and she finished it 3 days. She asked if she could get the next one when she finished this one and I said well maybe not immediately, but I would definitely continue getting these. Next time I won't buy one at a time - I'll buy the rest in the series, all at once.
Jenny5 Stars Out Of 5August 15, 2009JennyI have used these workbooks every year that I have been homeschooled (2nd -5th). They are easy to read and understand, sometimes even fun! I have told several of my friends about them, and they like them too. Maps can be boring, but these are very interesting.
Q: What age group can use this book? What are the age/grade groups that can use these books? Please include age/grade for each book of the entire series.Thank you!
The Maps, Charts and Graph Series starts with book A which is for first grade. The series coantains books A-H which contiinue in consecutive order until grade 8. Each letter is one grade level.
