This Home Economics course is easy to use and very thorough. My daughter is enjoying it and will learn a great deal from the course.

This book covers a good range of topics. A yearlong project to put together a cookbook is a very useful idea. The book gives some quick and easy recipes but they could be a bit more nutritious. Also a 13 year old could learn to make recipes that are a bit more sophisticated and challenging, but they are few and do not detract from the content. Overall I like that the material is God/family honoring, practical, fits nicely into our other curriculum requirements and supports a mom's instructions and advice.

This may be a high school curriculum ,but the chapters are a brief over view of cooking and other household skills. This is a very basic material and would be more appropriate book for a younger age group.
