J. I. Packer's Knowing God has become a classic of the Christian faith. Why? While it gives us information about God with clarity and grace, it does much more---it aids us in actually knowing him, in building our relationship with him, and helps draw us closer to him in love and worship. This 20th anniversary edition of Packer's classic has new Americanized text, reader-friendly type, and a new preface. Study guide not included.

I have read a number of Christian books that I have enjoyed, however, J. I. Packer's Knowing God has been the best. It is most readable and can be understood by any new Christian and will stimulate the most seasoned saints. This is a must read especially alongside with the study guide.

Excellent book. May be the best one I've read. It does not 'water down' Biblical doctrine at all, yet does help explain many of God's attributes in a way that is very understandable. God's holiness, mercy, judgment, love, etc. It expands one's knowledge of the Almighty God Who created us and saved us. It does 'deepen/strengthen' one's faith. Highly recommend it, so much so I told our children that's what I wanted for my birthday - they each buy the book and read it. What more could a father ask for! Our desire as parents is that they draw near to God and grow strong in faith and this book will certainly do both. Thanks for listening.

I read this book back when I was in bible college and consider it the most influential and most profound book I ever read other than the bible itself.

This is an excellent resource that provides fundamental Biblical teaching about the attributes and nature of God. It is also a helpful introduction to reformed theology. Packer writes with a winsome and readable style. He has given the church a classic book that every Christian should read.

Great! Next to the Bible and my hymnal of sacred songs, I place Knowing God as the book which has influenced my thoughts of God more than any other. I have recommended it to numerous individuals and will continue to do so. I consider it the classic of all classics.
