Reclaiming Religious and Moral Knowledge
October 11, 2013
Dallas Willard is one of the church's finest contemporary thinkers. In this latest treatise he helps us understand what has happened in our culture that has led to the marginalization and discounting of both moral knowledge and the knowledge of the Holy that underpins our faith. There are many challenging insights and the material is not easily digested, yet with the effort a paradigm shift is possible. Not only does the academy come under scrutiny, but so too the church. However, Willard does not merely tear down but also builds up, providing a stirring challenge to pastors and educators to reclaim what has been lost, with further instruction on a common theme in his writing - the spiritual disciplines. I know I will need to listen to these cds again and again!
