Paige2 Stars Out Of 5March 22, 2009PaigeWhile this book may be okay for middle school teens, myself and the girls in my group did not enjoy it. Our small group is made of high school girls and it felt as though the book was talking down to us. It mentioned the topics, such as prayer as if none of us have previously regularily prayed. We got more from it by expanding on the questions and topics it brought up than the actual questions it asked. The fact that the verses were all from the Message Bible also bothered us. Needless to say, we will not be continuing on with the "by design" series.
DeeDee5 Stars Out Of 5February 22, 2008DeeDeeThis book is fabulous. We are using it for our middle school girls bible study and it is wonderful. The lessons are easy to complete but are still very applicable and it has also sparked a lot of discussion. The girls really love it and are already looking forward to doing the other three in this series. The only thing I don't love is that the scripture is all from the message which is not my favorite but that's certainly not a deal breaker.
