I've just begun the read on this and I find it very informative and gives you a better feel of the author of the book and what was happening at the time of writing. I like it and think everyone who wants to get more familiar with the bible should read.

I ordered ten copies to give to friends. So far I have given three copies away and my friends are keeping the little book in their Bible protector. We think it is a good "quick reference aid". I plan on giving some to my 5th & 6th grade Sunday School boys class. Maybe it will cause them to be interested in reading their Bible more.

This was a good resource for future use. It isn't something you would neccessarely sit down and read page by page but I did through the old testimant part but I will diffinatly keep it on my shelf for reference.

We have been using this book in our adult Sunday School class for the past few months. Many of our members have never read the Bible through, and our study is intended to give them at least a nodding acquaintance with each book of the Bible. Even people who don't attend this class have been asking about getting a copy of this book for themselves. I think it is an excellent way to get better acquainted with the Bible, and to whet your appetite to go back and study each book more in depth.

In reading the Bible thru this year, I decided to take notes on each book, and chapter. Each time I begin a new book in the Bible, I turn to this first to get an overview, and then to get a few details. One of my favorite parts is "Ten Words or Less" which summarizes in one sentence the main goal/purpose for the book. For more details I still go to other books, but this is great for a quick summary.
