Who is this woman? McKay Harrington wondered. After chasing and killing an outlaw in the Boulder foothills, Harrington finds himself critically wounded and dependent upon a mysterious woman named Callie. When Harrington returns to his job at the Treasury Department, an unexpected encounter reveals a dangerous masquerade...
Can McKay Harrington penetrate the wall of secrecy surrounding Callie's true identity to share the saving love of Jesus Christ?
And what about the love growing in his heart for this woman of mystery?
An unusual story of love, intrigue, and faith...from the author of the bestselling Where the Wild Rose Blooms and Whispers of Moonlight

In this delightful story, McKay Harrington takes the time "to know her by name." I thoroughly enjoyed every part of this story and some of the side characters, like surrogate parents Nick and Camille Wallace, were very memorable. I enjoyed the humor, which is a new addition to Lori's writing for me, and also the intrigue of cracking Treasury Department cases in the Denver of 1878. It was great to catch up with Travis and Rebecca Buchanan, who we met in Whispers of Moonlight. The story kept me reading into the night and I recommend this author, this series and, in particular, this book to all.
Ann Powell5 Stars Out Of 5Wonderful!May 10, 2011Ann PowellQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Christian romance is my favorite entertainment! One only needs to read one regular romance novel to appreciate the clean language and Godly behavior of the characters in Christian novels. God's plan for the salvation of the world is clearly presented. Sometimes, it's just a reminder to incorporate in my own life the privilege I have as a Christian to call upon my Heavenly Father about every thing!
Carolyn Smither5 Stars Out Of 5November 12, 2009Carolyn SmitherNo matter how Callie felt, she still took care of McKay and brought him back to good health...she put her feelings aside. I was truly suprised to find out Callie's occupation and made the book so fascinating that I could hardly put it down. Thanks for such good reading and holding my attention, just excited about what could be next in this book. I would recommend this book to everyone.

I love your style of writing and that you put in a lot about the Lord. Some of the sermons the preachers in your stories tell really make me think and help me in my walk with Jesus. The only book I didn't like very much was this one, because of the story. I only read about 1/4 of the book and then went on to the next in this series. I really love the other 3 books in this series. I couldn't put the books down, but book # 3 wasn't the type of story I liked. But I think I've read nearly all your other books, and there wasn't any that I didn't like. I loved them all.
