You Will Never Know How Much I Love This Bible!!! I really really love Thompson Chain Bibles! I have given several away as gifts. I have a couple old marked up ones. Currently, I have 4 active...1 I mark up, 1 I don't mark, 1 handy size at work, and 1 handy size I take to bible study. This was the first study bible a minister told me to buy when I became interested in seeking the Lord. Throughout this journey, I have purchased many other bibles, but ALWAYS referred back to my Thompson. Fortunately, God has blessed me through the years to remain employed and able to buy bibles. If you would like to save money, I recommend that you purchase a Thompson Chain for your main 'go to' bible. Next, get a parallel bible or 2 with other translations. From there, get your study bibles or commentaries and greek/hebrew studies. This is the best method if you would like to save money. Or...you can spend lots of $ like I did & give many bibles away. Take it from me though, you cannot go wrong with a Thompson Chain. This bible is very well made and smythe sewn. Buy a bible cover to protect from rain. Don't put it in the sleeves of the cover because it may tug too hard. Just place your bible in the cover when going outdoors. It will protect the pages. If you decide to have just one, be careful with your markings and highlights. Some have complained of thin pages, but my 27th printing has nice thickness and dark clear print. I could go on and on, but God bless Christianbook and Kirkbride for these lovely bibles! April 22, 2011
