K J V N T 400th anniversary
May 2, 2015
What a precious treasure! I'd been searching for just the right Bible to share with other believers and to reach the unsaved. This KJV New Testament is superb. It provides the Word of God in ez to read type; and wondrously fine spiritual aides, most important being the message of salvation by faith in Jesus Christ. Being a special edition - 400th anniversary of KJV - it immediately gives anyone who wants to share the Gospel a perfect starting point for witnessing. I truly believe Jesus lead me to this blessed New Testament.
400th Anniversary KJV NT Outreach Edition Very Easy to Read
November 3, 2014
The pages in this edition are very attractive-looking for an outreach Bible. Although the font is 7 point, it is a touch bolder and therefore easier to read. There is more white space on each page than you see with various other outreach editions. The margins are wider and it seems like there is a bit more space between each line. The use of headings is really effective. Also, quotations from the Old Testament (e.g. Matt. 27:9-10) are written in poetry or song verse form, which leaves more white space. The overall effect of this layout makes it one of the easiest-to-read KJV editions I have ever seen.
Having said all this, the number of pages from Matthew 1:1 to Revelation 22:21 is only 240. The pages are not much larger than other editions, so it is still light and easy to hold in your hand or put in your backpack.
Since it is so affordable, you can buy a few at a time. This way you can mark it or highlight it as much as you like, and if you give it away or lose it, it's okay, just grab another one and keep reading.
As an note of interest, I found that Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are contained within 111 pages. So if you are awake for 16 hours a day, (16 hours x 7 days = 112) you can read one page every waking hour, and so read the Gospels once a week. I was delighted with how effortless and rewarding it was to do this. "Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life."
"The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all."
A good outreach of the New Testament of the Bible.
July 28, 2013
A good outreach version of the New Testament of the Bible. It's a New Testament without hymns, which is good (either it is the New Testament, or not).
The size of the text in most Bibles to give away is far too small to be read and that reduces the reader's tendency to read (too small text makes it just too difficult to read). The text size here is OK. The book's format makes it also more readable than the pocket sized ones. The cover is quite nice. The price is also fair.
But there is a serious defect with this edition. It is not written on the cover that this is The Bible, as it should be! And that's a common lack with New Testaments. But consider this: this is an outreach Bible, and many non-christians do not understand the term New Testament. The best outreach Bible is the New Testament, but it MUST be written on the cover that it is THE BIBLE. It may be written on the cover that it is the New Testament, but above that it must be written The Bible - with large letters. (We have bought over a hundred of these NTs but that's probably enough. There is almost no meaning to drop these in a muslim or other pagan area, since those that will find it will not understand what it is, but maybe think that it is just someone's testament or something).
