Author Bio

Charles C. Ryrie received his Master of Theology and doctor of Theology degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary, and his PhD from the University of Edinburgh. He was also awarded a Doctor of Letters degree by Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Virginia.

 

Ryrie served as the president of the Philadelphia College of Bible (now Philadelphia Biblical University), and as the chair of the department of systematic theology and dean of doctoral studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. He has published books on various topics such as theology, the Christian life, and dispensationalism.

This really wasn't what I expected. I don't like the "dryness" of the commentary's or teaching notes. I really like the NASB translation, but I think I'm going to have to purchase a different Bible. Also, I didn't like the feel of the pages, to magazine-like.

This is one of the best study Bible I have encountered, and I have approximately 20 of them. I do a great deal of in-depth Bible study and I value the information contained in this study Bible. The archelogical information is invaluable.
