I bought one of these well over a year ago, and waited until I'd used it a few times before writing this review.
The color is as represented, and the cover is soft, just as other reviewers gushed about. The type and layout are precisely as represented in this product's listing. What you see and read, is what you get. The paper is thin, bright, and not opaque, just as one might expect with any compact Bible.
The type runs a little bit close to the center binding, so one has to pull or push on the book a bit to get it to open up flat enough to read comfortably. But, the binding has proven to be strong, and it hasn't flinched at all.
The front and back covers feel a little thin and cheap, but, so far so good: they've functioned well, and show no wear. The cover is slightly offset, so that the title and imprinting that are to be centered on the spine of the book are a little off, maybe 4 or 5 millimeters or so.
Even though the magnet felt a little weak to me, as if the flap may open easily during travel, it has proven itself worthy. It has never failed to keep the flap shut, protecting the page edges and corners.
All in all, I've been quite pleased with this Hendrickson Bible, and knowing what I know now, after having used it, I would not hesitate to repeat the purchase were I to need another one.
I also love this little bible. I like the Lilac color and the way the cover feels. It has a soft touch to it. The cover closes nicely with the flap and I think it is bound nicely. I like that it is compact for travel or to put in a purse. Yes, the print is small but it has a good decent size for a compact bible. All in all this is one of my favorite bibles. Great product.
